Where to Start?

So many to thank! And we sincerely thank you all!

First of all, thanks to all the Student-Athletes for their dedication, hard work, fighting through sprains, strains, bumps and bruises, staying up late to finish projects and homework and study for tests, and most of all, for a season of many great times playing this wonderful game and memories and bonds that will last a lifetime. All three teams worked hard to improve themselves and compete at full tilt this year.

Thanks to all the Coaches for their dedication, hard work, care for the student-athletes, leading weight room and film sessions, and offering wisdom and guidance both on and off the field.

Thanks to the head coaches Kemp Moyer, Joe Perry and Kevin McKenna.

Thanks as well to the assistants Ty Currie, Ramsey Moyer, Derrick Lee, Eric Halverson, Steve Yamasaki, Dave May, Michael Cunningham, Terry Bussey, Alem Gebreyesus, Raymond Rodriguez, David Singleton, John Byon, Bill Elzig, David Han, Alex Silva and Brandon Younger.

And thank you Gail Harper, Rachel Marra, Brianna Lawrence, Susan Keel-Moore and the Hornet Cheerleaders for your spirit, for all the practices you put in, and your great enthusiasm in support of the football team and Alameda High as a whole.

And of course we need a big Thank You to all the Parents for consistently supporting their hard working student-athletes regardless of wins or losses, for doing mountains of laundry and providing for the strong effort it takes to play this game, and for showing up to games - rain or shine - to support their student-athlete, the coaches and their teammates.

And last - but definitely not least - thank you to the numerous Volunteers, without whom a quality Hornet Football program is not possible. It can be easy to overlook all the people who help behind-the-scenes, and it would probably surprise you how many people it takes to put together and support a well-rounded football program like Alameda High's.

Hopefully no one is left out (apologies to any who are), but thanks to the following volunteers for all their time and effort to support our players and the Hornet football program (in no particular order)...

If we left anyone out, a thousand apologies.

We really, really appreciate all the many people who contributed to the team this year and the development of our student-athletes and the program. There are so many who played a big role and everyone in the program is thankful.

Thank you everyone for a fun, exciting and educational Hornet season !
