A.
Academics
-
Student-Athletes:
Our athletes are STUDENTS first ATHLETES second.
-
Varsity
water polo players will maintain a cumulative G.P.A. of 2.5 or higher.
-
Junior
Varsity water polo players will maintain a cumulative G.P.A. of 2.0
or higher.
-
If your water
polo player falls below the standard set, he will be put on two-week
academic suspension. Athlete will practice and not compete for two
weeks. Athlete will be required
to get a grade check signed by ALL teachers on both Monday's of the two-week
suspension. If athlete has shown improvement, as determined by Marshall,
he will be allowed back on the team. You are allowed 1 two-week
suspension any other academic issues will result in expulsion from the
team.

If water polo
player is starting off below the academic standard set, he will begin on
academic suspension.
-
Water polo
players that have to miss practice for a tutor session will need to let
Marshall know 24 hours in advance.
B.
Rules
-
Be ON
TIME!!!! Practice is from 3:15-6pm in the afternoon.
-
Morning
practice mandatory for Varsity- NO EXCEPTIONS. Monday/Friday -
5:15-7:15am, Tuesday/Thursday - (weight room) 5:30-7:00am.
-
Practice
begins at 3:15pm. If you are late and haven't checked in 24 hours
in advance, you're absent. Same requirements for morning
workouts.
-
Water polo
players missing workout must check in with Coach Marshall 24 hours in
advance. No, after the fact excuses.
-
Each water
polo player is allowed to be absent four times throughout the
season.
-
On your fifth
absence you will be expelled from the team. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
-
If you miss
practice on a "Game" morning, you will be excused from the
game and be required to help time at the game. On your second missed
"Game" morning, you will be expelled from the team.
-
Varsity,
all workouts and meets are mandatory. Junior varsity, mornings
are optional but strongly encouraged.
-
On Meet days,
Marshall will handle excusing all the water polo players from school.
-
All water polo
players are required to help set up and break down after games.
-
Confrontations
between teammates happen on occasion and will be handled on a
situation-to-situation basis.
-
Water polo
players will not leave the aquatic facility during home games or away
games without permission. Water polo players found on campus, away from
the aquatics facility without permission, will be asked to leave the
team.
-
Water polo
players will come to practice daily prepared to swim with suit and
goggles.
C.
Coordinating Rides
-
I will email
out a week in advance to parents and let them know how many athletes
need rides.
-
All parent
drivers will need to fill out an additional insurance form provided
by the school. Insurance form will be scanned and emailed out the first
week of the season for all interested parties.
-

recaps and scores.
