vs. De La Salle
Hornet fans- I wanted to say a big "Thank YOU" to all the parents that drove on Friday to De La Salle. We were lucky enough to have the clouds break for the majority of the meet and we were all able to stay dry.
The Varsity boy fought hard but fell to the mighty Spartans 115-70. This was the first time in six years the Hornets won multiple races against this powerhouse team. We were able to be victorious in the 200 IM (Chris Hausmann-2:04), 100 Fly (Ben Krause- 56.0) and the 100 Back (Chris Hausmann- 56.6). Overall a very strong performance turned by your Hornet varsity squad. The JV boys also were in the middle of a dog fight eventually succumbing to the Spartans 102-44. The JV team was searching for some meet experience, led by the 9 new freshman we have on the team. The diving squad led by Seniors, Daniel Lyons-Lau and Kyle Bridges fought hard and gained plenty of needed experience for their three freshman. Congrats to both squads on scratching and clawing all the way to the end.
We have two home meets this week and i saw both are covered for food. I cant tell you how much the team and I appreciate all the parents coming together to support us and feed the boys after meets. I am very lucky as a coach to be involved with such a great program. Don't forget Parents we have the Alumni meet coming up this Saturday. Meet starts at 1pm.
